Professional Marriage, Family & Individual Counseling.
Counseling is available to Monmouth County residents through the Catholic
Charities Family Guidance and Counseling Service in Red Bank. Fees are based on a person’s ability to pay 747-9660.
Please call this number if you have a problem or need help. Catholic Charities also provides assistance for unwed mothers,
pre-delinquent girls, care for the aged, outpatient psychiatric services, evaluation services for children, etc.
Birthright.
This is a non-denominational organization offering
workable alternatives to abortion. Assistance is confidential, free, non-judgemental. National Hotline is open twenty four

Assistance to Retarded Citizens.
The ARC of Monmouth County (Association for
Retarded Citizens, Monmouth Unit, Inc.) has headquarters at 1158 Wayside Rd.
in Tinton Falls.
They provide a wide range of services for people with mental retardation, including education, vocational training, supported
employment, health care, residential services, recreation and family support services. For information, call 493-1919.
Alcoholism.
Alcoholism has become recognized as one of
our greatest social problems. It may affect anyone in our society without
regard to sex, age, or socio-economic status. There is available a tried and proven path toward recovery – Alcoholics
Anonymous. A call to 763-1415 and 763-1416 will put you in touch with a person who is ready and willing to help you return
to a confident, happy and normal life. We bring to your attention two local treatment
centers: Riverview Medical Center Addiction Recovery Services (732-530-2415) and Monmouth Chemical Dependency Treatment Center
in Long Branch (222-5190). You should also know about “Chit
Chat Farm”, which is a treatment and rehabilitation center for addictive diseases. Address: Box 277, Wernersville, PA, 19565 or call 215-678-2332. A “closed” A.A. meeting is held at 10:00
a.m. Mondays and 12 Noon on Wednesday in St. Mary’s Spiritual Center and an Al-Anon meeting at noon in the Spiritual
Center. There is also a “closed” A.A. meeting at 8:00 p.m. at the Colts Neck Reformed Church (462-4555).
Divorced and Separated Catholics.

Adoptive Parents Organization.
A support group for all parents of adopted
children. This group meets every month at the K. of C. Hall, Fair Haven Rd.,
Fair Haven. Under the guidance of Catholic Family Services, Red Bank, the group offers informative speakers as well as holiday
activities for the children.
Crisis Pregnancy Counseling.

Rachel Vineyards Retreats.
A Psychological and Spiritual journey of post
abortion healing. These weekend retreats are held throughout the year in many states. They are designed for anyone who has
struggled with the emotional or spiritual pain of an abortion. The Retreat is a very specific process designed to help you
release repressed feelings, grieve the loss of your unborn child and accept God’s forgiveness. The retreat will help

Parent to Parent.
This is a statewide network of parents supporting
families of children with developmental delays, disabilities, or other special health needs. As trained “supporting
parents”, they act as a valuable resource to families. They offer assistance in learning the necessary skills to help
